Hello, I’m Lisa!
I’m the Life and Career Coach behind Illuminate Your Career Path in 5 Steps.
After 7 years of guiding professionals through important crossroads moments, I found 5 key steps to set the foundation for a career move that comes from a place of certainty inside and aligns with their bigger goals for their life.
I’ve used these same steps to create my own dream career, which includes working with wonderful people, using my strengths, always learning and being challenged, and has an impact – all from a beautiful farm in Catalonia, with lots of time and space to do the other things in life I love, like be a mama to two amazing little people and be outdoors.
One of the big reasons I do this work was because I struggled with my own career path for many years.
My parents wanted better things for their kids than they had, so I grew up with high expectations for me to do well but without a lot of guidance, maybe that’s because my parents hadn't gotten that either. On one side of my family were immigrants who came from Japan to the U.S. for a better life, and on both sides were rural poverty and limited opportunities.
At age 30, I worked with my first life coach, and finally found the strategies and tools I'd been missing SO long to create a career that finally added up to what I wanted.
Now, I want to share these strategies with as many people as possible. Because we spend so much of our lives at work.
I think that, especially if we hold privilege, let's make our work count and contribute to creating a better world. This why I work with professionals to improve their satisfaction at work and use their strengths, so they have a bigger impact and contribution.
